On Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 Hadestown opened at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway. The Anaïs Mitchell musical, directed by Rachel Chavkin and co-produced by Michael J. Moritz Jr., stars Reeve Carney (Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark), Amber Gray (Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812) Eva Noblezada (Tony Award Nominee for Miss Saigon), and Patrick Page.

Hadestown, co-produced by Michael J. Moritz Jr., won eight TONY awards at the 73rd Annual Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Featured Actor in a Musical, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, and Best Lighting Design of a Musical, Best Sound Design of a Musical, and Best Orchestrations.

Hadestown is currently running on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

"Hadestown" Wins 6 Outer Critics Circle Awards

At the 2019 Outer Critics Circle Awards on May 13, 2019, the Broadway production of Hadestown, co-produced by Michael J. Moritz Jr., was presented with 6 awards including Outstanding New Broadway Musical, Outstanding New Score (Anaïs Mitchell), Outstanding Director of a Musical (Rachel Chavkin), Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical (Andre De Shields), Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Amber Gray), and Outstanding Lighting Design.

The winners will be honored at a May 23rd event at Sardi’s.

Hadestown is now running at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

The 2019 Tony Award nominations were announced on Tuesday, April 30th. Hadestown leads with 14 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Director of a Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Leading Actress in A Musical.
